Ishinomaki Disaster Assistance Council Inc.(IDRAC) was established on 13th May, 2011, in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11th, 2011.
IDRAC took over the work of the Ishinomaki NPO/NGO Assistance Network Conference established in the Ishinomaki Senshu University, with members of the Ishinomaki Junior Chamber International as a center.
IDRAC tightly cooperates with the Ishinomaki Disaster Volunteer Center, which is run by the Ishinomaki City Social Welfare Counciland dispatches individual volunteers to places of the citizens' needs.
